Monton Festival will be a fun, action-packed family day out, with games, entertainment, food and drink from Monton’s famous high street and market stalls highlighting the very best of local crafts, talent and products.

Our story begins way back in 1971 when a young Alan Sandford discovered a passion and talent for metal work at school. Since then this passion and commitment has seen Alan grow into one of the country’s finest Craftsmen and respected Master Goldsmiths. Skip forward 37 years to 2008 and the Sandford & Ogden partnership is born. The business was originally named Monton Designer Jewellery; this was then changed in 2015 to use the family names. Family values, integrity and trust remain at the epicentre of how we run our business.
At Sandford & Ogden we combine decades of expertise and experience with the enthusiasm and innovation of youth to create and showcase some of the finest jewellery and most prestigious luxury watches to be found anywhere in the world.
All of our collections are unique and are exclusive to us. We never make two of anything so you can rest assured that anything you commission with us will be individually crafted for you. Everything is designed and crafted in our in-house workshop using centuries old traditional techniques. We craft everything by hand, there’s not a computer in sight.

Based in Monton, I offer Reiki Healing, Sound Healing, Sound baths at Monton Unitarian Church, Animal Reiki, Reiki courses and various workshops. Art & Craft House produces a variety of handmade crafts including; bunting, embroidery, storage, painted flowerpots, earrings and brooches. All items are also taught in local craft classes.

Amy Turrell Illustration
is a small business run by self taught artist Amy from her home in Boothstown. Amy draws and illustrates wildlife and turns them into greetings cards and other gifts. She also draws pets!
Amy focuses on being as eco-friendly as possible, reducing waste, utilising responsibly sourced materials and choosing suppliers who do the same. The cards are printed with vegan ink onto recycled and sustainably sourced papers, and all packaging is plastic and microplastic free – right down to the glue on the stickers and packing tape.
Mama And Me
Mama And Me offer a unique experience of babywearing dance and mindfulness. With classes across Greater Manchester and Cheshire our popular Monton Class Is held at Monton Methodist Church on Wednesdays 1.30pm
Our high-vibe class focuses on parent well-being and joy. Empowering parents through dance, babywearing and shared experiences.
A journey of connection, support, and community
Salford Rangers
On Salford Rangers' stall they will have leaflets detailing heritage walks of the Salford area and information about being a volunteer ranger in Salford, including the Bridgewater Canal and Duke's Drive.
They will be leading heritage guided walks around the area of Monton Green and the canal - no need to book, the tours are every hour starting at 10.30am and
continuing throughout the day at 11.30, 12.30, 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30. Start/meeting point is their gazebo, which is number 23, outside the church hall.
